As for the closing date it seems like the current decline in price should be the only clue why giving a date is bad. It should be announced after it takes place instead of giving a deadline that may be missed causing panic selling
Friends and family would have bought into this around January when it was in the 3s.

This does cast a subtly aspersive shadow on a BOD that is supposed to be so rich, brilliant, and experienced. One hopes they know better and behave better.
