Yes....in fact it was "A partner" as in "Our goal remains to secure a partner for advanced clinical development of Brilacidin as a new therapeutic for Oral Mucositis and Inflammatory Bowel Disease.". Thank you for responding to the question directly.

The other question was harder: Why?
Given the cash squeeze I'm reminded of the old saying that "beggars can't be choosers". A good offer for EITHER indication should be considered, shouldn't it? I think "Advanced clinical development" means further clinical trials and they obviously wouldn't be conducted together.

I suppose this is possible, which would make the question moot.....

....but I'm not sure why the writer has that expectation...it's not obvious to me.

I find it "dis-arming" of some here, who question others here, who simply oppose, and question, curious questions, and statements.
