Yet! Not in food or drinks yet.......They will not wait until the fda approves to start to make plans and just like beverages in Canada the plants do not appear over night. The fda does not have jurisdiction over makeup as long as they do not make medical claims. Canopy IS actively working on clinical trials to make the case for wellness claims and I am sure that Martha Stewart could say she loves the feel of a cbd lotion on her face without getting in to trouble. They are working to get the GRAS Generally Regarded As Safe designation and then it will be used as an ingredient as long as they do not make unproven claims. These are all pieces of the puzzle they have been assembling for a while now and they will come to fruition. The us govt will not give up easily but since they have been the only ones studying this plant for 90 years trying to prove how it harms and if they had been successful in that time we certainly would have heard about it.

They are having consultations in May to make things more clear and to receive input from interested parties

To our benefit the FDA is creating a regulated market with barriers to entry. Canopy already in studies that FDA will require.
