A NASDAQ company who had issues with their financials took over 12 months to complete restated audited financial statements to fix the issues, audits take time especially first year audits of previously private companies.
It is coming, confirmation from the audit partner and continued insistence from the company that it is coming clearly shows their intentions. At this point there is no benefit to them to continue to state the audit is coming if it is not. If that wanted to be scammers they would simply issue PR's with large and fluffy forward looking statements to pump the price.
