He said talks between Samsung Electronics and Dow Chemical failed as the two differed over licensing fees.

"Dow asked Samsung for too much for their quantum dot materials as Samsung intends to grow the quantum dot TV market with no huge price barrier to consumers," the source said.

A bit of an assumption that they "couldn't compete" because they lost a negotiation. I have won deals and lost deals and never because I couldn't compete. You take a shot on price based on what you think the value is and what you think will close the deal. You don't always pick the right numbers.

And while we are used to the typical defend-the-homeland-at-all-times sycophantic responses, providing factual data does not equal a pump. For example saying, "700 patents that = zero products" is a misstatement (or intentional lie). Pointing that out would be an act of correcting the record.

Here some examples of pumps:
2013- "25 NDA's with companies... Contracts soon to follow IMO"
2014- "The are so many pokers in the fire..somethings going to come out red hot soon.. "
2014- "This train is leaving the station ..doubters better run to catch the ride of a lifetime... "
2015- "Won't be long IMO and all the doubters will be silenced once and for all.. looking forward to it!!"
2016- "Yeah baby! Once and for all we can put this to rest and silence all the doubters!"
2017- "I still have to pinch myself when I read who QMC has partnered with its pretty mind blowing"
