know what's going on I think the reason they don't normally do biotech is that they aren't gamblers. Unless you have some predictive tools you are really stuck. If you know a market- say teen fashions or industrial tools- you can probably envision most of the issues in turning a profit. If you are testing tree bark to see if it cures an undefined disease, you are just gambling. As we go more into rationally designed stuff and you can do decent ex vivo ( in vitro or in silico ) tests, you may get more sane investors coming in early.
