but Assets had - per GAAP fallen below Liabilities as the value of the Trillions of dollars in bond fell 10% or 20% -- that too was true


default likely - nope IMO

but where A < L and there is a ton of paper to protect one can argue for and understand a simple honest and short term protective conservatorship.

instead of that happening and ending in 18 or so months --- - those who have wanted to kill F and F for decades got the upper hand in telling the story and running things .. and what could have been a protective simple clean and short conservatorship was prirated
