Why will the common stock be worthless when Delta emerges from bankruptcy? I've never been involved with a Stock that is in bankruptcy before so I'm a bit confused.

I am not the holder the this stock, my GF is. She was a Delta Employee and had 500 shares of Delta Common long before the downfall of this airline. I am trying to make the most of what she has. So, it really will be worthless?

i think it will take some time before they get out of BK, u have alot of time to get out, and i think the pps will rise alot b4 they get out of BK!!

Vkoenig, But the stock value due merge was fixed around 1,62 so I think we will trade around it
