If you are not planning to sell, does it really matter if the stock drifts at low volume while it is sitting on top of a huge performing company. It only matters if people need the money to buy bread, cheese and eggs or to pay for rent. Under such circumstances, they will sell regardless of what the share price because they need the money.
For example, 7 seconds before the close, a guy was craving for a drink from Starbucks but has no money. He sold 4734 shares for $12.30. He paid $4.99 or $7.99 in fees and he pocketed the rest to buy a cup of coffee or a cappuccino from Starbucks.
