I think they wanted to create a buying opportunity for friends in the short term, or others they are connected with. Long term they know they are fine.
A lot of new members on their board and some (Barney "there is no housing bubble" Frank) are some if the most. Crooked people on the planet.
I don't believe in accidents and co-incidences. They knew what they were doing. The question is why?
