I have similar feelings about Giuliani (I'm also a New Yorker)

He is a tad more arrogant than I would like but at least after 9/11 he wasn't off reading My Pet Goat somewhere.

I'm not sure if he will be the choice for people outside of NY though because he is a "typical" New Yorker and that rubs many people the wrong way.

As for his politics, he may also be a little too much to the middle for the right wing Republicans.
