Back when I lived in the country and had my orange grove, I planted a Key Lime tree. They produce year round which matched perfectly with my rum and coke needs at the time.
The limes are small, between a ping pong ball and a golf ball. The tree was very thorny, so you had to be sure and get all the limes you needed before too many rum & cokes, otherwise the thing would cut you to ribbons.
