No, I disagree. The story needs something more than "we got gold". Anybody can say that. No, what they need is something special like a pond full of gold, tubs of sludge full of gold, a VAT full of gold, or nuggets just sitting in the sand waiting to picked up. Maybe something about a magic elixir you sprinkle on rocks, and the gold just pours out the bottom.
