A theory: short sellers to cover.

Short interest on 2/28/19 has risen to 1,879,010 (previously 1,776,951 on 2/15/19). This aligns well with the ‘out of the gate’ action of over 1.5M in the first 15 minutes. The volume pace definitely slowed down after the first hour or so. The rest of the increased volume could have been these same people establishing a long position or others jumping back in or increasing positions for FOMO.

Again just a theory, but I would be curious to see what the March 15 short interest is. If highly correlated, it may be worth notifying FINRA or SEC?
