It does if they borrow enough. As you can see, its hundreds of thousands of shares. Example: borrow a million at .02 and cover at .017. +$3000 profit. Most of these guys are shooting for $250-$1000 profit each time and doing it on multiple tickers. Now lets say 10 guys are doing it just on $AXXA... Just my opinion but we know its happening on whatever scale. Im sure a calculator will do the trick.
Lots of "new traders" get flipping and shorting confused. (not saying youre a new trader) Shorts borrow shares hoping the pps goes down so they can cover at a lower pps and pocket the difference.
