Wrong. MM's have a spread that must be met. If you place a limit order, and they can't find shares that meet their spread, they won't do the transaction. They buy at LESS than your limit and SELL to you at your limit. They don't work for free, and they ALL work the same. They get a 'cut' of every buy/sell. That is how they make money. If you want shares, kick it up a tick.
