Remember, HPQ owns the intellectual property to Itanium, they could easily start generating their own version and diverging from Intel.

You might have wanted to dust off the history books on *that*
one rather than look like you're talking through your fundament.

HP does have an Itanium card to play. But then Intel would say, fine, we'll give them to Dell at 1/3 the price. And we'll sell Dell all of our CPUs at 1/3 the price we offer to you. That would spell bye-bye HP.

I'm happier discussing the real point with you. Like your Itanium argument. But when you don't like my answer to your arguments (say, about the delay being caused by WinXP AMD64), please don't therefore suggest I'm possessed with religious fervor. Rebut my point, please, instead, or concede the point.
