BK for Perdue is a real possibility since the filing stays all the outstanding litigation for a period of time. Meanwhile the Sackler family, as holders of this private company, continue to bank the Oxy profits. Life is unfair sometimes.

Perhaps more clearly stated, Bankruptcy Protection.

There's a big difference between BK & BK protection as business will continue on and any lawsuits hit a road block

Last I heard on NPR about a month ago Purdue was avoiding taking massive hits from lawsuits. Maybe things have changed in a short time, or maybe the pressure monetarily is getting to the point where they may declare BK
in order to avoid other expenses. Either way that family goes they still have Mundipharma. the other international arm of Purdue.
