They are purchasing debt at like .40-.50 cents on the dollar. They mark it up a bit to make a profit and they cut deals. So tell me..... in your assettless SHLDQ stock. How do the debtors get paid? Lol. If there is nothing to liquidate in SHLDQ then how on Earth do any of these people get the money? They cant. So they sell the debt. The debt aquisition companies will collect later but because they get it so cheap they can make a big deal on the debt. Its really pretty simple. The quicker all the debt gets resolved the faster SHLD gets cleaned and can be merged with holdco.
