#55952 RE: DaRa31 #55950

Hi, explained them what information I was looking for and they put me through several times, spoke to different people and finally when I thought I had the right person he told me "sorry, can't tell you, we never give that sort of info to individuals". I specifically asked for someone in the planning department who is in charge of purchase orders because in any ERP system there's a purchase to pay process. The purchase order is the first step in such a process. A purchase order is not just an invoice, it's a document from the buyer stating the exact products, quantaties, prices etc. If it's a first order then the acceptance of that purchase order creates a contract between the 2 parties. That's why it's so important and banks are willing to finance. So I didn't get confirmation, but nobody was surprised either. Even though Eby-Brown is huge, a first order of 4x1,000 (or 4x10,000) products does not go unnoticed.
