I believe the silkworms delivered have spun their cocoons and it wouldn't be a stretch to say that a certain amount of silk has been produced thus far; for testing purposes with the Institute of Biotechnology – Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology (“IBT”) and Vietnam Sericulture Research Centre (“VSRC”) at the satellite location .
If there are plans for any remaining silk, KBLB hasn't announced it....
The question remains, what exactly are the measures that will satisfy the Vietnamese, in order to grant Prodigy permission to begin their pilot production phase?
One would think Phase I would have to be deemed a success, in order for Phase II to be granted.
Granting II without knowledge on whether or not the technology has the potential to be commercially mass-produced, in quality-consistent and an economically feasible manner, in my estimation, would be a tad premature....
