Traderfan, you are right that IB has some insane trading restrictions. I don't know how many times I have gotten screwed with their price capping nonsense.
I now have a big note on my desk that reads, "Place Trades With E-Trade First!"
There are a lot of good things about IB, but that price capping insanity is a major detracting factor for them.
