Most orders only stay open 30 days at most brokers. I use Etrade and I always call my broker 3 business days before an order "expires" and he "refreshes" the order. Since I started doing that I have never lost my place in line.

nextofkin, I too have TDW as my broker. They tell me they are not MM. If they are not, how do you get a place "in line". This board is fairly new to me so please don't think this a smart ess? Thanks.

I have my BKMP shares in IRA form and have rec'd a email from TDW stating they have rec'd some of the pfrd shares in my account but are waiting for those which are "owed" from other brokerage firms
