Lmao, it was a scheme run by a group of people, to remain in the U.S as “students”. they ended up recruiting more people, but were caught by undercover ICE agents posing as new arrival students. These “illegals” at one point came in legally, but they overstayed their visa by faking being enrolled in this university. that is what made them “illegal”. nice effort tho.
