Currently, the FDA has indicated that a limited one to two year clinical trial may be necessary to obtain clearance. If clearance is eventually obtained, we intend to commercially launch products for use in total hip replacement in 2020 or 2021.

In regards to the hip/knee implant Sonnys research team is designing, it looks as though they still work for Zimmer. The 2017 milestone payment and subsequent loan via Sonny's Investment firm being the main evidence coupled with Zimmers IP involvement.
OMNIlife is a subsidiary of OSI btw, and the contracts Amedica had with them expired and/or terminated in 2015, after the R&D agreement I imagine, based on the exihibits being removed from future 10ks.
