Tinroad...Would this be non-contiguous data storage vs. OS's which utilize FAT's?

My research indicates that the following statement claimed only by you is not true and that e.Digital Corp. does not make the claims you make in this statement.

"...only devices utilizing MOS can retrieve the data in sensible form."

Therefore, the burden is on you to prove your supposedly factual assertion.

In order to prove this you have to argue against e.Digital's claimed functionality of the MXP 100 and the Odyssey 1000 to record information using MOS as a file system and the ability to later upload those files to a PC.

I don't know of anyone else who claims that files recorded to a device can not be read by the PCs they are uploaded to (as long as the PC's is using Windows 98 SE or later). You imply that the PC must have NFFS/MOS to read the data, but e.Digital does not agree with you.

Nothing the company publishes seems to confirm your assertion and numerous posts by your fellow EDIG longs have pointed to the ability to transfer files (including music files) from one computer to another as a major benefit of the Ody 1000.

Therefore, I can find no support whatsoever for your claim. Since you have refused to provide evidence that confirms it, I remain convinced that your contention is false.
