Toyota exports these cars to forty countries. The ITC ruling will stop Toyota to import the cars to their biggest market the United States and must pay compensation. If only one of the models was to be part of the ruling then there will be great financial gain but if all the models are involved then the pay off will be huge because not only there must be compensation but Toyota must also pay for licencing the technology for all their cars to be built.
The ruling can happen at any moment. The dateline is January 18 but most of the time the ITC ruling come sooner that the dateline.
So far the problem is speculators. They are manipulating this stock up and down according to their bets (shorting) and I think they have overplayed it and people are just afraid and just sitting on the sidelines and waiting. We will just have to do the same wait and see.
