#115658 RE: Supernova12 #115656

What on Earth are you even talking about?

MMEX’s proposed Phase I facility is a 10K BPD rudimentary topping unit (which isn’t built, and won’t ever be built).

As a courtesy, I’ve included the most recently available MMEX-scam conceptual drawing, which shows the Phase I 10K BPD unit, and three “future” Phase II units, all depicted as identical, cookie-cutter style to the Phase I proposed unit. For the mathematically impaired, this would be 4 x 10K, or 40K BPD name-plate - anything the hypothetical installation might produce would be at best 80% of that name-plate figure.

By the way, this isn’t how one goes about scaling up a refinery - it is comically flawed even at a conceptual level.

At any rate, using the EIA data, 11 of the 17 units from 1975 onward equal, or exceed the 10K BPD figure in capacity. Three of them exceed 40K BPD capacity, since 2014.

The cold hard reality for MMEX-scam is that five units of moderate capacity have been built in the last half-decade! The silly claim of 40, 42, 45, 47 or whatever is just tap-dancing to distract the uninformed.

It’s apples to oranges anyway, because MMEX-scam is just a share-selling scheme.

Ok, I left out 50,000 bbl facility (starting capacity); so there is only one other facility back in 1976, which would then make it 42 years and not 47 of the same starting capacity. Off by 5 years, (which multiple other sources published 47 years).
