Dr. Hoffman & Dr. Khandkar were located in Salt Lake at the time and Dr. Hoffman worked with Centerpulse (Zimmer was only a subsidiary of Bystol-Myers) at the time. Amedica wouldnt have become known to Zimmer until it clear they would acquire Centerpulse or until Zimmer took over Dr. Hoffman's contract
