You do have a point. But after -95% decrease (maybe even more) in the value of your shares it might be an idea to also look at other accounting methods to realize that you have done a terrible investment so far, and that it needs a sky high return to even recover the unrealized loss.

exactly. no such thing as bankruptcy losses since I never sold my shares. and hyperinflarion doesnt exist because I never sold my dollars for good and services. zimbabwe style.... reality is cold and harsh not textbook accounting fantasy.
