I think anything around $30 is great long term. Im a short term investor only untitled global conditions change drastically but will buy T again at $29.5 (likely this next week).

Of course there’s a down side. There’s down sides to every stock. For AT&T, there’s a ton of debt. Serious debt, in great part attributable to the Time Warner purchase.

But the good news is:

They are trading near their 52 week low. Great value play.

Their dividend is incredibly attractive. Great for income investors.

The Time Warner deal positions them as one of the few companies who can compete with Netflix and Disney.

They have invested heavily in 5G technology. 5G will truly enable people to cut the cord without and reduction of service. It is a real game changer and AT&T is first to market.

My personal opinion is that both their top and bottom lines will rise significantly over the coming years. Share prices should reflect that..................but they MUST carve away at the debt monster. Debt is a killer. Huge debt can kill rapidly. I’m betting their revenues will enable them to attack the debt aggressively.

Disclosure: I am long. 2,000 shares at $29.91 average. Come the first week of February, that share price will be reduced by $0.51 / share. Followed in kind every successive quarter until I sell. All my holdings are enrolled in a DRIP since I don’t need the income.
