I think EVERYONE'S past assertions (at least for a positive outcome) have proven to be wrong.

There are plenty of bold negative assertions as well. Such as that Amgen terminated due to bad trial results. There is also an assumption that the lack of partnerships in the past guarantees that none will ever happen.
