I worked 4 jobs one summer back during college to make $35,000 so I could invest next semester and get rich. I lost it all in a couple of months in an OTC stock that was a big scam. That was my lesson.

If you feel unsafe investing your money, what I did was just pare back my investments and learned from experience and watching the markets, reading and more.
