I have a smaller cash account, so I don't trade on margin. I hold most of my stocks for at least a week or two, so I don't really run into that issue. True day traders that flip a stock multiple times a day would need to have a larger account, $25k+ on margin preferably. It is harder to day trade on a smaller cash account. I'm more of a swing trader than day trader.
