Indeed, the flippers do not know what to do when they get a real fish on their lines....kind of like recentely commissioned ROTC cadet or a 2nd lieutenant who never expected to get sent to war while their Pre-9/11 combat wounded enlisted noncommissioned officer Corporal & Sergeant counterparts get nothing for college, housing or health care.
