I told about 10 different friends for the past 8 years that FB was just using their website as a free survey entry form. (e.g. Please give us your name, location, number of children, who are your friends, where do you shop, and on and on..... Without exception, they all laughed at me saying I was too paranoid. FB has way more detail about Americans than the census bureau. Of course they've been selling it.
