actually what I was thinking, if he had to power to screw up the world housing markets with receiver, he should be able restore stability to it with conserve. one way is 100 times more destructive than they other, yet after 10 years they cant even take the easy and best path of releasing them after removing sweep.
Actually, Calabria believes that puttng FnF into receivership would not result in any major change or upheaval to the housing finance system.
He actually will have the statutory (legal) authority to do so by himself, though again I can't see him doing it without Treasury's approval (and even then I doubt it happens).
