I agree completely. There is no rationale IMO as to why e.Digital should get part of the rental revenue from APS's digEplayer being that they will be paid for services rendered, licensing fees and for the units themselves. What else would they be due?
APS and the airline have ongoing labor to to sustain the rental program and the content providers are due revenue as their IP is used repeatedly.
On the other hand, e.Digital's only ongoing duty is repair/refurbishment, services for which it will be paid.
It will be very interesting to see how much e.Digital nets on the deal. I am convinced it will be very disappointing to shareholders who have developed such high expectations for this agreement. In typical EDIG style, the facts won't be known for several months following the hype and by then, they'll be focusing on new carrots.
