He has cell phone reception and GPS mixed up.
GPS has nothing to do with cell phone reception. If it did we would all never loose a signal. Americano. That post I put on there about the signal traveling through coal is no joke. My friend talked to Kanno for over a half hour. Before he would take the position he has now, his main concern on the entire matter was exceeding prior reported industry depths, and he wanted to make sure of this ? in his mind. After his talk with Kanno he called me to let me know about the 2200ft. I personally don't care what anybody thinks, because I know that was a big issue in alot of peoples minds. I know it to be true.

The frequency of the cell phone is the determining factor The higher the frequency the shorter the wave length. There is a lot you don't know about IPKLs operation. For an example Microwave communication is a line of sight operation and is ultra high frequency. As the frequency drops the distance increases. Not to get too technical but the lower the frequency the longer the antenna needed to transmit. Antennas come in many forms and conduction can be found in metal objects. It appears that coal enhances the transmission of signals at a certain band of frequencys. This is no doubt the way they are able to communicate at very deep deaths. To go lower they can install repeaters that will catch the signal and amplify it and send it on. I do not know the IPKL system and I don't really care. The Chinese have already passed it and so we have come this far.
