22 Years and counting started in 1996 when I was 16. I have averaged about 30% cash in my investing career (Been times as high as 80% for brief moments), Heck this year is about 35% at the moment, just about 50% at the current time, obviously the high cash levels have held back the returns. Averaging in the low to mid 20's after you add this year it will be probably be in the low 20's. have very few year that exceed 50% most of my years fall between 20-40%, no one will ever know me for maximizing returns, what I believe is consistency is the key and having a strong defensive approach of investing, for better or worse that leads me too up every year, outside of maybe 2018, and average that hoovers around the low to mid 20's every year with most years in the 20-40% range. On the downside I rarely have a blowout year as well. That is me in a nutshell boring, consistent, diversify, I'm definitely the tortoise basically on the board, something I generally am proud to say because for the most part it leads me to a successful strategy over the long run which has worked for me, so if it ain't broke don't fix it. Although I have to say even my strategy hasn't been great this year, but I did okay, if I didn't lose 4% on PROM this year with that delisting debacle I would up right now in my opinion. That was my worst performer of the year, than again why I put that much in on a over the counter stock leaves me partly to blame, but we all make mistakes, and the beauty of it is your allowed to make a ton of them and still do well overall. All is just my opinion, and I could always be wrong though.
