If someone from Ceramtec or Ceramatec/Coorstek had joined Amedicas board instead of Dr. Link from Centerpulse I might agree with you. However, Dr. Link didnt make a beeline from Zimmer acquired Centerpulse to Amedica for no reason. Dr. Link was heavily invested in Amedica series A all the way though.
To gain influence over another company the best position to install a friendly executive is Chairman. Installing a board member is also beneficial especially if you can maintain majority; doesnt Sonny still hold his board seat in addition to being Chairman?
