Gold is with high likelyhood working for one of the market makers, who has obviously gone short against the volume spike. Now he is trying to talk the price down again so that the market maker can unload his shares at a lower price.
He keeps mentioning that the latest volume spike only produced a 13 cents gain on 6 million shares traded. This is of course also incorrect.
The latest volume spike began on the 24th of October with a low of 65 cents and went to a high of 1.07 on a total of 4.3 million shares traded. That is a gain of 0.42 on about 4 million shares traded and clearly not 0.13 gain on 6 million shares traded.
A large part of of the selling might have come from the market maker in question.
