I have several friends who are American Airlines pilots. I have had heated discussions with them on several occasions, it is as if they hate the company they work for and won’t be satisfied until they drive out of business. And I have pointed this out to them. They are so hardened against any kind of reason or the reality about the expenses that their wages incur for their employer, and constantly, tirelessly beating the drum that they are somehow being miss treated, it’s absolutely ridiculous. Even won a mid contract concession to give them raises when they were under no legal obligation to receive them. But Its never enough. Nor will it be. I’ve been watching this go on for decades at American. Their rank-and-file actually hate the company they work for. And not so secretly either. Sorry. Just my observation, and MHO.
