#51025 RE: AKvetch #51023

AK - in response to your post on VRWC - thought i'd post my answer here too - have a great weekend

AK - I think it's a helluva note that democrats are voting on a "hate Bush" platform instead of what they think is best for America.

I, for one, find it impossible to vote:
- to raise my own taxes
- give constitutional rights to captured terrorist enemies
- prevent surveillance of terrorists calls
- cut and run from Iraq
- leave the terrorists FREE to form a base for future attacks on American soil (which will come if we leave before the job is done)
- stop tracking illegal aliens, and allowing the aclu to prevent us from deporting them
- continue to install judges who legislate from the bench
- re-institute the so-called "fairness doctrine" in order to shut up the opposition
- join the money grabbing kyoto treaty
- and there is much, much more.....

as for the article - isn't it strange that the Republicans have a more than two to one advantage in early voting? When the pollsters sample a population skewed in their favor, no wonder they get the numbers they want......contrary to carville's thinking, it will not dishearten the Republican base - it actually makes us more likely to vote.

If the democrats don't gain both houses - they have lost. It was their side that promised control of the senate and house, now they're saying maybe the house, or maybe close....time will tell.

Rather that try to be an agitator to create discussion, today I chose to be myself and say "It is my honest opinion, based on a lifetime of experience that none of you know about, that we will be far worse off if the democrats (liberal) gain control. The San Francisco liberals (McGovern-ites) have ruined my former party, and I don't see any way it can be turned around. Harold Ford ran as a centrist here, but will NOT BE ALLOWED to vote against Reid, Durbin, Kennedy, et. al. if he gets to the senate.

Funny thing is - as much as I disliked Clinton, he was elected and therefore he was my president.........it is strange that the left has so much animosity that they can't use the same guidance on elections. The left has torn this nation apart and it may never recover. There is no more statemanship in congress, politicians are on the take (yes, both parties), politicians can get re-elected even if they are crooks or have a freezer full of money that they stole, and even when they WOULD NOT PASS THE SECURITY BACKGROUND CHECKS that a soldier must pass in order to have access to SECRET material.

So - get out and vote - democrat or republican - it's your right, and your duty...............
