Agree, patent lawyer on board would be good to explain this. Have heard of Mayo versus Prometheus case, and downstream laws of nature which helps determine what can be patented with regards to diagnostic tests and clinical applications. Have a feeling specific combination of multiple genes is patentable, but preventing others from using their own CCR5 inihibitor in cancer may not be. May have something to do with testing for each gene is not patentable but using the specific combination for for diagnostic may be.
