Any place that sells food is a restaurant. Doesn't matter what they want to call it. Cafe/bistro/deli/diner/inn/bar. Doesn't matter. Restaurants are proven to be one of the single worst investment opportunities that one can do. Restaurants hemorrhage money. Even good ones that have success has a massive base cost.

Huge difference between restaurant with 10-15+ waiters and waitresses working every day, than a coffee/cafe shop with maybe 2-3 people running the whole place. VERY DIFFERENT. Much less space needed so less cost. High margin add-ons like edibles and infused drinks, all about it. Specially if they can get it branded. Who would of thought that Five-Below would be doing such an amazing job on $5 ticketed items? People, Product, Process. Not a HUGE fan of the idea as it is not part of the core competency of Namaste (online) but if there is little investment and a test run is done with one location that turns out to be very successful, game on. Its only a matter of time before there are Weed Bar's like there are Cigar bars now. It all comes down to how much revenue per square foot they can pop out. These dispensaries in CA are insanely high R/SqFt (no pun intended).
