i didn't think of that, a coded receipt from an electronic machine, that sounds like a good system... but your local system sounds even better... amazing how different it is depending on the local situation... down here they incorporated the voting booths into the video poker machine booths in local bars, they even have cup holders installed

Accept the Duh! in the spirit am sure it is given. I did forget,
for one, that of course in your bastion of state rights ... even
the constitution, I believe, suggests that a state has the right
to withdraw from the union if it wishes ... you have different systems.

Your system sounds a lot like ours. We are crossed off a list as we
get our ballot form, we fill them out at a semi-enclosed solid
cardboard cubicle then fold them and and stuff them into the ballot
box which, must notice, is either locked or a solid cardboard thing
with a slot in the top. The ballots are all counted by humans with
scrutineers from any party concerned able to watch the count.

People could multiple vote as you are able to vote outside
your area, but, they are supposed to cover all that in the
checking. There have been queries about how well that is
done, but, hopefully they eliminate most duplicate vote as
would expect some would make the effort to vote more than
once.

Our system breaks down more in the preselection process where
there have been and still are all sorts of branch stacking
activities go on. Particularly, ethnic groups are signed up
as branch members and only attend when the bus picks them up
to vote on who or what will become the local candidate.

Happens in both of the major parties, at least. Heaps of it.

Anybody have trouble about a half hour ago, posting or previewing?
