I will reserve my opinions on the rest of your questions, but as for the 10K bid whacks:

I was watching when that was going on also. One of the MMs was showing 10K at that time.....I forget which one. But when they show 10K and hide the rest, I've had my 1M+ orders hit them for several 10K blocks first before the larger fill.

So in my experience and opinion, those 10K blocks were larger orders into that particular MM being filled for the amount showing, and keeping the rest of the order queued so it eventually hit the hidden block behind the 10K.

I hope that makes sense.

around 09:46/47, someone started getting impatient and whacking 10K share trades into that Bid.
