There has been one excuse after another, but never a good excuse to not mass produce silk in commercial quantities.

Good, meaning acceptable to us? It certainly isn't acceptable that Lam Dong decided not to let us in. It isn't acceptable to us that we had to start over in Quang Nam. It isn't acceptable to us that we had to wait and help with laws protecting Vietnam from the unknowns of transgenics, in Quang Nam. It isn't acceptable that the process took so many years and was so difficult.

We just couldn't know exactly what the factors are that required our facing these difficulties. Acceptable...no. Changeable? Not until now.

Too expensive domestically is a good excuse in any business, so that is legitimate.

The best you can hope for lies in the fact that you can only take care of what you control. The desires and concerns of any host country, could easily be labeled a good excuse for a delay. Not easy to navigate, but easy to understand.
