#5306 RE: cintrix #5305

Thanks again. Re the ihub explanation that ? is "dead centre between bid and ask" … that is a reasonable explanation for cases where there is a 'dead centre'; but I was watching a stock that was trading mostly at .0001, where .0001 was the bid, and the ask was .0002, with very few trades at .0002. The "?" trades were all at .0001, or less (in market-maker only territory).

Re the post you pointed me to, which was authored by you, I read your comment that you would sell at the ask (which would be transacted in partials), and then laugh when people would say in some forum that 'buys are coming through.' But isn't the definition of a "buy," namely, a transaction at the ask? -- as it's obvious that someone is trying to sell, but is asking a selling price that is higher than the posted highest bid.

Similarly, if a person posts their desire to buy at a 'bid' (i.e., less than the lowest ask), and someone sells to them at that price, isn't that the definition of a "sell," namely, a transaction at the bid price?

Maybe I'm just humor impaired today, but there must be some context missing (about the trades on those days) that explains what provoked the laugh.
